Hey, name’s Yuri.
Thanks for visiting my plaсe on the internet. I’m a 20-something yo born in Moscow, Russia 🇷🇺 and leaving in Rivière Noire, Mauritius 🇲🇺.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in economics and a Master’s one in management. I’m trying to find myself in Web3 world, while working in an international payment processing company.
As mentioned in front-matter, I preach freedom of speech, free trade and online pseudonymity. I’m first of all a libertarian, meaning I accept all faiths and ideologies unless they impose themselves on others. However, I myself am leaning towards Orthodox Christianity for its views on love, non-aggression and salvation.
Interests
Below is a list of things I generally like and have some user-level experience in.
IT
- Cryptography , cryptocurrencies
- Linux styling and powerusing
I like privacy and am amazed by how people find clever solutions to major challenges of the modern world. Plus, I just like things being ordered. Formalism’s getting rare nowadays.
Sports
Ice hockey
It’s a complex game demanding body endurance, quick decision making and high precision in moves. Gives me a rare feeling of physical and mental relief while the competitive nature of this sport is something driving me forward and keeping me excited in the longer run.Bodybuilding & powerlifting
Gym workouts are something I just cannot let myself stop doing cuz if I quit - there’s no way back due to my lazyness. Momentum keeps me floating. It’s been 2.5 years already.Tennis
I’m not particularly experienced in it, but it’s a great substitute to ice hockey which’s no longer available at my new location on the island.PC gaming
Games that I played were mostly online ones and required a voice chat e.g.Rocket League,MinecraftorFortnite. Playing solo is like drinking alone: strange and cringe. However, local ping makes me feel I’m connecting from outer space, not very pleasant.
Other minor hobbies
- Maintaining this website
- Reading pioneer economists & philosophers
Anti-interests
- Statism
- IG larps
- Apple software and hardware
Preface to the website
Why am I spending 50$ a year on maintaining this domain & website?
- to explain technologies/concepts/principles that I personally find right/legit to the broader audience (aka blue-pilled normies)
- to force myself diving deeper into the little things I find exciting
- for further reference
- some selfish “pls notice me” factor is involved, ngl
